Eternal Light: Episoodo 1: Kuchiake Za
{Episode 1: The Start}

Authors Note: This is the Japanese/English version. KEEP THAT IN MIND. The characters names will be Japanese along with many terms and titles. I'm learning Japanese so if there's errors feel free to correct me by e-mailing me at LittleLaney32985@aol.com. Otherwise I don't want any one e-mailing me saying "What does this mean or what does that mean?". If you want to know either go learn Japanese as I have done or read the english version. True the storyline differs slightly but the main plot is the same. Arigato!
-------------------------------------

The day was like any other. Normal. Normal to the point of boredom. Himeko Ira was especially aware of the familiar feeling. Her eyes casually glanced past the window of her dull classroom, where the teacher was intent on teaching Algebra.

Ira sighed, using her other hand to shield her mouth from a mighty yawn. Her other hand supported her head as she rested it against her palm. Ira fought the tremendous urge to merely close her eyes and slip off into dream land. Himeko Kih Ira  was young about, sixteen and a few months. She was one of the youngest in her class of Junior students at Rikou Hoshi Highschool. Because of this small factor, Ira was often called
Chiisai Hitsu-Chan. It was a nickname she could've lived without, but didn't mind.

Aside from being young Ira was always very beautiful. She was one of the prettiest girls in her class and she knew it. Ira possessed a beauty like that of the most graceful princess, yet also managed to retain some of her childlike cuteness. She had carmel colored brown hair that was straight and silky smooth to her shoulders. Her face well shaped with full lips and bright green eyes. This quality connected her greatly to her nickname. The girls who envied her called her Chiisai Hitsu- Chan in a mean snobbish sort of way. Those who looked past that and just wanted to tease her to be friendly did so in a manner so that she knew they were kidding.

Ira sighed and checked her watch for the umpteenth time.
"Aa joi..." she muttered. About three minutes had passed since she last had checked. Ira was more of a dreamer than a scholar. If given the choice, she'd have dropped out of school already. However her mother had always retaliated that idea by stating "Ira-Chan when you're eighteen you can do whatever you please".

"Promises, promises..." she muttered under her breath. There was a slight giggle. Ira looked over to spy Adachi Hana, smirking and whispering something to her friends Hoshino Juri and Ichihara Emiko.

Ira glared. If there was ever a reason Ira had hated school it was because of those three, Hana and her two wicked henchmen. Ira was never really afraid of Juri and Emiko. She'd seen Juri and Emiko without their royal leader and they were pushovers. However Hana was a diffrent story. Hana had power throughout Rikou Hoshi Highschool and everyone knew it. If Hana didn't like you she'd let you know and what's more, if you pissed her off she'd destroy you. Ira wasn't ultra popular despite her appearance, but she knew well enough to leave Hana alone so for the most part she ignored her.

After all she could always give her a good mental ass kicking in her mind.

With that thought Ira merely flashed Hana a grin, which only recieved a sour glare from Hana in return.
"Talking to yourself again Chiisai Hitsu-Chan?" Hana smirked devilishly.
"Or perhaps you're talking to a youma?" Juri chimed in and that gave all three cue to giggle.
"Ah yes. I can see youmas you know because I'm creepy like that" Ira leered, smiling with ice in her eyes at the girls. "Besides I'm sure we have more in depth conversations than you and your kare do, considering he leaves every time you open your mouth"

Hana glared daggers and turned away. True, Ira didn't press her luck but in a battle of wits, she often had the upperhand. Ira had never been sure exactly WHY Hana hated her but she suspected it was because of her looks. It didn't help that some of the cutest guys in school had repeatedly compared the two and she'd won. Another reason Ira suspected was the one reason she loved school.

      Junsuiha Ato Enzeru.

Enzeru was definatly a wanted boy and he was Ira's good friend. They had been friends since late Freshman year. Ira was drawing Anime as she was usually caught doing and Enzeru happened to have noticed. It was really silly how they'd met, true, but they'd hit it off and had been great friends since. Ira smiled at the memory. Enzeru had also been friends with Hana, who had since and always had a huge crush on him. However once he became close to Ira Hana had turned vicious towards Ira. It only served as a negative score on Hana's behalf because afterwards Enzeru had pulled back from Hana greatly after she had begun teasing Ira.

This only worsened Hana's need to ensnare Enzeru. She wanted that which she couldn't have.

Ira looked back to the window, allowing the sun to cascade over her face.  "Hai. Those are still nice memories..." Ira thought.

Ira glanced at her watch. Eight minutes had passed.

"Shimatta..." Ira sighed and glanced dully to the teacher.

***

"Are you prepared?" a voice asked from atop of a throne. Darkness surrounded the throne and seemed to engulf the figure. Only a sillouhette of his face along with the glint of his silver eyes could be seen.

One figure stepped forward. "Hai, mai Ouji" the figure replied with a soft and delicate but definite female voice.

A second moved forward responding "Ofukoosu, mai Ouji" with a strong, firm male voice but yet a touch of softness.

Then a third stepped forward, an icy wind seeming to fill the room. "Hai" was all it responded with an icy indifference to it's tone. It too was female.

Lastly a figure bounded forward, smaller than the other three. "Hai, mai kawaii Ouji!!" it announced with a childlike enthusiasm to it.

A woman stepped next to the throne. "Well, mai Shukun...? Are they ready?" she asked with a dark, deceptive voice. The figure on the throne glanced his eyes to her briefly then back to the figures in front. "I believe so."

He stood slowly and eyes the four figures intently and icily. "Don't forget your mission and more importantly don't forget who you really are. I want you to find the kyuuseishu. I don't care how but bring them to me alive. Is it understood?"

The four figures nodded, the fourth nodding a bit more enthusiastically.

The woman stepped forward beside the man. "And don't forget you all are expendable. Don't slip up. Your Ouji is counting on you."

The four figures gave a final nod and stepped back, allowing the darkness to swallow them.

"Do you think they'll succeed, mai Shukun?" the woman inquired, her voice a purr.

"Time will tell. Time...will...tell..."The man muttered as the figures disappeared.
