The day was like any other. Normal. Normal to the point of boredom. Lena Holmes was especially aware of the familiar feeling. Her eyes casually glanced past the window of her dull classroom, where the teacher was intent on teaching Algebra.

Lena sighed, using her other hand to shield her mouth from a mighty yawn. Her other hand supported her head as she rested it against her palm. Lena fought the tremendous urge to merely close her eyes and slip off into dream land. Lena Holmes  was young about, sixteen and a few months. She was one of the youngest in her class of Junior students at Bright Star Highschool. Because of this small factor, Lena was often called
"Little One". It was a nickname she could've lived without, but didn't mind.

Aside from being young Lena was always very beautiful. She was one of the prettiest girls in her class and she knew it. Lena possessed a beauty like that of the most graceful princess, yet also managed to retain some of her childlike cuteness. She had carmel colored brown hair that was straight and silky smooth to her shoulders. Her face well shaped with full lips and bright green eyes. This quality connected her greatly to her nickname. The girls who envied her called her "Little One" in a mean snobbish sort of way. Those who looked past that and just wanted to tease her to be friendly did so in a manner so that she knew they were kidding.

Lena sighed and checked her watch for the umpteenth time.
"Oh joy..." she muttered. About three minutes had passed since she last had checked. Lena was more of a dreamer than a scholar. If given the choice, she'd have dropped out of school already. However her mother had always retaliated that idea by stating "Lena, when you're eighteen you can do whatever you please".

"Promises, promises..." she muttered under her breath. There was a slight giggle. Lena looked over to spy Hannah Williams, smirking and whispering something to her friends Juliet Malon and Emily Paige.

Lena glared. If there was ever a reason Lena had hated school it was because of those three, Hannah and her two wicked henchmen. Lena was never really afraid of Juliet and Emily. She'd seen Juliet and Emily without their royal leader and they were pushovers. However Hannah was a diffrent story. Hannah had power throughout Bright Star Highschool and everyone knew it. If Hannah didn't like you she'd let you know and what's more, if you pissed her off she'd destroy you. Lena wasn't ultra popular despite her appearance, but she knew well enough to leave Hannah alone. So for the most part she ignored her.

After all she could always give her a good mental ass kicking in her mind.

With that thought Lena merely flashed Hannah a grin, which only recieved a sour glare from Hannah in return.
"Talking to yourself again Little One?" Hannah smirked devilishly.
"Or perhaps you're talking to a ghost?" Juliet chimed in and that gave all three cue to giggle.
"Ah yes. I can see ghosts you know because I'm creepy like that" Lena leered, smiling with ice in her eyes at the girls. "Besides I'm sure we have more in depth conversations than you and your boyfriend do, considering he leaves every time you open your mouth"

Hannah glared daggers and turned away. True Lena didn't press her luck but in a battle of wits, she often had the upperhand. Lena had never been sure exactly WHY Hannah hated her but she suspected it was because of her looks. It didn't help that some of the cutest guys in school had repeatedly compared the two and she'd won. Another reason Lena suspected was the one reason she loved school.

      Malik Grey.

Malik was definatly a wanted boy and he was Lena's good friend. They had been friends since late Freshman year. Lena was drawing Anime as she was usually caught doing and Malik happened to have noticed. It was really silly how they'd met, true, but they'd hit it off and had been great friends since. Lena smiled at the memory. Malik had also been friends with Hannah, who had since and always had a huge crush on him. However once he became close to Lena, Hannah had turned vicious towards Lena. It only served as a negative score on Hannah's behalf because afterwards Malik had pulled back from Hannah greatly after she had begun teasing Lena.

This only worsened Hannah's need to ensnare Malik. She wanted that which she couldn't have.

Lena looked back to the window, allowing the sun to cascade over her face.  "Yes. Those are still nice memories..." Lena thought.

Lena glanced at her watch. Eight minutes had passed.

"Damn..." Lena sighed and glanced dully to the teacher.

***

"Are you prepared?" a voice asked from atop of a throne. Darkness surrounded the throne and seemed to engulf the figure. Only a sillouhette of his face along with the glint of his silver eyes could be seen.

One figure stepped forward. "Yes, my prince" the figure replied with a soft and delicate but definite female voice.

A second moved forward responding "Of course, my prince" with a strong, firm male voice but yet a touch of softness.

Then a third stepped forward, an icy wind seeming to fill the room. "Yes" was all it responded with an icy indifference to it's tone. It too was female.

Lastly a figure bounded forward, smaller than the other three. "Yes my cute prince!!" it announced with a childlike enthusiasm to it.

A woman stepped next to the throne. "Well, my Lord...? Are they ready?" she asked with a dark, deceptive voice. The figure on the throne glanced his eyes to her briefly then back to the figures in front. "I believe so."

He stood slowly and eyes the four figures intently and icily. "Don't forget your mission and more importantly don't forget who you really are. I want you to find the saviour. I don't care how, but bring them to me alive. Is it understood?"

The four figures nodded, the fourth nodding a bit more enthusiastically.

The woman stepped forward beside the man. "And don't forget you all are expendable. Don't slip up. Your prince is counting on you."

The four figures gave a final nod and stepped back, allowing the darkness to swallow them.

"Do you think they'll succeed, my Lord??" the woman inquired, her voice a purr.

"Time will tell. Time...will...tell..."The man muttered as the figures disappeared.
