Eternal Light: Episoodo 2: Ira-Chan's ihyou! Nyuu goetsudoushuu
{Episode 2: Ira-Chan's surprise! New enemies}

Authors Note: There's going to be one of these at the beginning of every chapter. I've decided that and nothing is going to make me change my mind, so deal with it! ^_^
I'd love to thank Sephie(EK) especially. She was the first person to give me a nice, solid compliment on my story so far. You're a sweetheart Sephie and this chapter goes out to you! You guys have no idea how much compliments fuel an author. So keep 'em coming! Again this is the Japanese terms version so for those of you who are clueless on Japanese, don't wonder why. Arigato!

"Aiyee! Gu baka!" the young figure of the four squealed, jumping back. The girl was small, and she only looked to be about fourteen years old. She was dainty with her hair held up in neat pigtails with curls at the ends. Cute flower pins held them neatly in place. Her eyes were a mischievous shade of bluish green and her hair was an odd hue of pink.

"Your first in line to go, but I'm having doubts we should send such an amaekko" the second figure shot at the girl. The second was a male with hair of gold and gentle green eyes. His face held a firm power to it.

"Aki-Kun, I'm not a child!!!!!" the girl screamed, with much annoyance.

"Eh? Well, then perhaps you should prove it Haru-chan..." he added before turning to the other two girls. "Kyuuka-San, Fuyu-San...do you wish to go in place of Haru-Chan?" Aki asked, crossing his arms and eyeing them coolly, with a gaze less intent than the one he used on Haru.

One of the girls turned to him, eyeing him quite innocently, then she smiled. She lightly brushed her soft, long, auburn hair behind her shoulders and shook her head. "Nei. Let her go. It'll be good practice for the first time" she said and opened her eyes.

The other gazed into a mirror, appearing to hold no interest in the conversation, or just simply ignoring the others.

"Fuyu-San? What about you?" Aki asked, his eyes narrowing. There was a solid defiance in his eyes as he glanced to the last of the four.

Fuyu said nothing, her hand only moving to slightly adjust her crown, which was ontop of her sandy white hair.

Aki sighed, irritated. "Haru-chan you're up then". He said and turned away from the others. Kyuuka watched him, her gaze softening. She felt bad for Aki. Since day one he had been trying to take control and lead the group to victory. However Fuyu had been bound and determined not to cooperate, and despite against better judgment, Kayuuka herself and Haru had accepted Fuyu as the real leader. Fuyu had power that Aki had, but she also drove fear into their hearts.

Beyond a doubt Fuyu was no one to be messed with.

"Fain!! Maro karadawooshimu bakas!!" Haru spat. She ran her small fingers over the smooth, grass green jewel embedded in the skin of her throat. "but I'm only going so I can stay alive..." she said and with that, indignantly looked away. Haru walked to the corner of the room and pulled back a black, satin curtain to reveal a crest etched into the floor, glowing white. The crest was in the shape of a circle with a square in the middle and another circle inside the square which looked like planet earth with a star over it. Four stars were at each point of the square.

Haru stepped within the crest and glared at the other three. Haru aimed for an icy glare, perhaps like the one Fuyu had, but she knew it only wound off as more cute.

"Crest of the four seasons, transport me to earth. Take me now to the power of the kyuuseishu!" she chanted, closing her eyes. Inside Haru really DID want to go to look for the kyuuseishu in a sense. She wanted to prove to the others she wasn't a child as they took her for.

Haru felt her body tingle as the light surrounded her, turning pink. It enveloped her body and seemed to filter through it, making her feel as though she were a feather. Haru knew she had to make some progress. She may have been young but she knew too much was at stake. However still...she couldn't shake the feeling that welled up deep inside of her.

      She was afraid.

      "Ira-chan!"

Ira turned over her shoulder, and immediately a big smile shot across her face as though she had just won the lottery.

"Ohayo, Ira-Chan" Enzeru greeted, running up beside her. Ira looked over, and nodded curtly. "Ohayo yourself Enzeru-Kun" she replied, teasing him. They were juniors at their school and Enzeru hated it. He'd stated many times before that getting older and growing up wasn't his idea of fun. Enzeru loved to act immature, especially towards Ira. He loved to try and tick her off. Ira would never admit it, but while she pretended to be irritated, his attention towards her was certainly welcome.

"So are we still up for that night of mad, passionate bouji?" he said grinning like a little boy. Ira blinked and slapped his shoulder hard. "Nei maro hentai!" she said smiling then added with a saucy grin "Besides...I doubt you'd last two minutes maro douji"

Enzeru's jaw dropped open. "Ikeike" Enzeru shot, grabbing her hands. Ira laughed and looked into his eyes. "Well, you know it's true..."
"You still want me " Enzeru countered. Ira shook her head. "So what are you doing after school?"
"I've got to go buy groceries" Enzeru said flatly, looking away. The idea obviously didn't thrill him. Ira watched him closely, studying the figures of his face. Sometimes Enzeru reminded her of a little boy trapped in a seventeen year old's body. He was very handsome with his light brownish red hair and intense hazel eyes.

"Why are you staring Ira-Chan?" he grinned and added "Cause I'm so sekushii?"
"Nanitozo...chittomo..." she said with a brief eyeroll, even though she doubted the truth behind that answer.

"Ah well for that, you can walk home alone. Sayonara Ira-chan"

Ira sighed and waved weakly, always a bit sad to see him go. Ira glanced at the sky for a moment. "An end to another day..."

***

Ira stepped off the bus slowly, glancing around the street. It was about five now.

Ira lived in a small house, with her father who was rarely ever home. She'd lived happy with both of her parents for awhile, but her mother had died when she was young, about four. She vaguely remembered her mother and what she did remember was that she was very beautiful. However one day her mother had simply never returned. Her father never talked about it, only saying that 'mommy was gone'. That was about the time he'd start leaving for big buisness trips. He use to leave her with money and a sitter to watch over her, but as she got older he'd leave her alone with enough money to get by with while he was gone. She might as well lived alone anyway. The walk home was long and it was the worst. It always gave Ira time to reflect on her thoughts. That alone could be dangerous. It'd either result in severe depression for the rest of the day or she would somehow feel enlightened.

Which brought her to the thought of her life as a whole, for some reason. She thought of all the factors. Her parents, Enzeru, Hana and her little groupies, school, everything. One thought seemed to stick...Enzeru...

      "Ohayo!" some one called out.

"Huh?" Ira looked over. She saw a small girl standing there. The girl was incredibly cute and Ira tried to determine what age she was. She looked about thirteen or fourteen but her deameanor and features made her seem about eight. She wore a white button up tank top and blue jean shorts.

"You're going to help me" she said matter of factly, giggling sweetly. Ira couldn't help but smile. "Genni aa?" she asked amused.

The girl then glared, but Ira wanted to run over and squeeze her cheeks. She looked too adorable.
"I sense a great energy coming from you and so you're coming with me" she stated as if she were the superior in their situation.

"Is that so?" Ira asked, on the verge of laughing. The girl glared as if able to read Ira's expression. "That's it...time to come with me kyuuseishu!" she screamed and snapped her fingers. A whirlwind seemed to surround Ira as if from the sky . Ira stumbled back and jumped, shocked. The wind become more fierce and felt like a tightening grip around. Ira struggled fiercly as a first instinct. Her muscles burning to break free.

"Ah so you wish to struggle! That's not very niiiice of you" she said with a childlike giggle, as if playing a game, and held out her hand. Small petals seemed to float about in the wind, lightly nicking Ira's skin. Ira cried out.

"Gotcha now!! Wee! I did good!!" Haru gloated and felt her cheeks flush red in excitement. Now she'd show them all she was very capable indeed.

***

Ira felt her strength giving out as she struggled. Her fight had weakened and the wind seemed to be coarsing through her body, sucking out any of her remaining energy. She was going to die.
That was her first thought.
"Looks can be deceiving, eh Ira?" her mind scolded her. Ira winced as the petals made small nicks, the size of papercuts, in her skin. No one could save her now. She felt blackness begin to take over her.
"Enzeru..."
